Zespri Kiwifruit is easily peeled and then sliced, diced, pureed or eaten whole. However, kiwifruit lover Harshaali Malhotra’s favourite and the most popular way of eating the Zespri Green and SunGold kiwifruit is to cut and scoop it. Simply take the whole kiwifruit, cut it into half, scoop the flesh out with a spoon and enjoy! The taste of the kiwifruit is surprisingly sweet and refreshingly juicy. This also makes kiwifruit the perfect snack-on-the-go that can be eaten anywhere and any time. Besides, you can also use it in salads, tarts or savoury dishes.
One thing is certain though however you eat your kiwifruit, you will be consuming 100% of your daily vitamin C requirement. The best way to check if your kiwifruit is ripe is by pressing the top and bottom of the fruit. If semi-soft, it is ready to eat, else you can speed up the ripening process by placing the kiwifruit in a bag or bowl with other ripe fruits. In case you wish to eat it later, simply refrigerate the kiwifruit and cut, scoop, be `zurprised’ and enjoy the fruit whenever you wish.
