With Valentine’s Day around the corner, it’s time to put on your thinking caps and start planning for the perfect romantic date. Here’s a list of things you can do that will definitely win her over.
Surprise your soulmate with a special getaway together.Make reservations at a bed and breakfast, arrange for childcare and take time off from work for yourself and your partner. Ask her for lunch and instead whisk her away for a romantic vacation.
Give her a dozen roses to each stem, attach a note for a future date when you do something that she would enjoy or has been wanting you to do.
If possible, go on a date to the restaurant you went to on your first date. After you order your meal, take some time to write down favorite memories from the past year and share your lists.
Fill a large box with helium balloons and gifts for Valentine’s Day , and give it to her.
Fill a jar with candy and notes for your partner. The notes could have options like a backrub, 10 kisses or a foot massage.Roll each note individually and tie it with a ribbon.
Mail a handwritten letter or card in advance (figure out how much time it will take to reach her. You don’t want it to reach before or after D-Day).
Text her/him a poem. A love sonnet is great, but lyrics to a love ballad from her favourite era works just as well.
If you’re planning a romantic dinner, then don’t forget the music and candlelight! A centre piece with a cluster of different sizes of pillar candles will give your romantic dinner table the perfect glow. For a different look, you can also do up room with fairy lights. And as for the music, pick anything from John Mayer, Stevie Wonder Whitney Houston or Diana Ross to Plain White T’s, John Legend, Snow Patrol or Sting. Give the Honey Singh hits a rest for the evening. After enjoying a candlelight dinner for two at home, give her a massage and watch a romantic movie.
Give a blank journal with a sentence written on each page telling her why you love her or recounting a funny story in your relationship.
Declare your love for your girl in public! Hang up a banner that says you love her in a place where people will read it. Call up a radio show and have them `play your song’ with a message for her or leave an enormous bunch of flowers at her workplace with a huge card.
If you’ve both been stressed lately or have been working late, then you might want to do something low-key , as opposed to something that’ll require even more work. Give her/him options like pizza, wine and a massage, reservations at that place you’ve been wanting to go to, or a movie night and takeout, and see what she wants. Remember, it’s not about how expensive it is a cheap Valentine’s Day gift can be good it’s about showing her you remembered and that you care.
If you’ve forgotten, and have to whip something up last minute, then the simplest thing to do is to buy rose petals and make a scavenger hunt for her around the apartment, with notes about why she is so wonderful. You can also personally deliver flowers to her office and treat her to lunch.
