MOVING TOO FAST
This is one of the biggest bloopers.
Okay, so you met someone and he said he had a great time with you. Now, don’t hint at how a lifetime of happiness will be like. He might run for the hills as it’s too soon.
A message in the morning and one or two in the day is fine, but don’t send a barrage of texts, especially ones that say, `Why didn’t you call’, or `Why can’t you ask what my new haircut is like?’. He is just getting to know you and a `Miss-Over Texter’ is not who he might want.
3. ONE-WORD TEXTS
There’s a flipside, too. Don’t reply in mono syllables. If he asks `How was the Day?’, don’t just answer with `Good’ or `Tiring’. Be friendly not stiff.
He is possibly some one who see in your future, agreed. But showering him with umpteen holiday photos from your last trip with your family is probably not wise.
Try and make the texts fun. This is a conversation not a speech, so don’t drone on and on. Using the same text lines every morning and the kind of jokes is a no-no. Work things up with a line saying, `Hey, I have a surprise to show you later’ and then send a picture of yourself or even a funny message.
