Step 1: Drink 8-12 cups of water daily

Water hydrates your body and your body will metabolize fat more effectively. Should you substitute for juice? No. Juice has a ton of sugar and is actually detrimental when you are trying to lose fat (sure natural orange juice might be healthy and contain tons of vitamins, but it is still bad if you are trying to lose fat). Also, the more water you drink, the fewer cravings you will get!

Step 2: Eat every 3 hours

Eating every 3 hours which will result in 5-6 meals a day is very beneficial when it comes to losing fat. A regular person eats about 3 meals a day (breakfast, lunch, dinner). When they eat this way, their body goes into starvation mode between the meals and tells itself to pack on fat. When you eat every 3 hours, your body will increase its metabolism and burn food faster.

Step 4: Buy yourself a notebook and set some goals

 Set small goals. For example, No junk food for a week or hit the gym at least 3 times, lose 1 lb.
Write these goals down and when you accomplish it, check it off. This makes you feel much better and maybe next week set 2 goals and so on.

Without goals, there is nothing to measure your success and you will most likely give up within a week. This step is very important so please don’t forget it.

Step 5: Lift weights

Lifting weights are ESSENTIAL to losing fat. Don’t worry ladies, you are not physically able to get bulging muscle. If you only go to the gym 3 times a week, try to lift weights for 2 out of the 3. Pick up a weight that you can do for 12 reps (no more, no less) and do 1 warm up set and 3 regular sets.

The more muscle you have, the more fat you burn. Also, if you want that sexy toned look, you definitely have to lift some weights. If all you do is run, and you manage to lose weight, you still won’t be toned.

Step 6: Stop Stressing!
