Thick semen and Healthy sperms are crucial to conceive your spouse. Sperms quantity, quality and motility plays a very important role in fertilization. Only a healthy and motile sperm has the ability to fertilize the female ovum. Sperms are very sensitive by nature and may be affected by various environmental factors including excessive heat, toxic chemicals and physical trauma. Drug addiction and some nutritional deficiencies also contribute to low sperm count, causing thin and watery semen. However you can improve the thickening of semen and can also have thick and healthy sperms by following some natural remedies that are given below:
(1)Try to increase your intake of vitamin C because vitamin C improves sperm mobility and viability. Important sources of Vitamin C are oranges, tangerines, limes, guava, lemons, papayas, strawberries, black currants, grapefruit and mangoes. Many vegetables contain Vitamin C including collard greens, green and red peppers, broccoli, tomatoes, brussel sprouts, cabbage, potatoes, kale, spinach(palak), and watercress.
(2)B vitamins specially B12 play an important role in sperm production. Vitamin B12 is found in liver, kidney, yogurt, cheese, eggs, dairy products, nonfat dry milk, fish, clams, oysters, salmon, sardines.
(3)Vitamin E is also important for sperm health and plays a vital role to increase sperm count. Sweet potatoes, mangoes, butter, margarine, eggs, wheat germ oil, soya, yams, spinach, broccoli, corn, avocados, fortified cereals and liver are good sources of Vitamin E. Several oils including sesame, sunflower, almond , peanut, safflower, olive, soybean and corn are also good sources of Vitamin E. Oysters, lamb(mutton), turkey, barley, wheat, beans, nuts, red meat, pumpkin seeds,avocados, bananas, almonds, spinach, poultry, sesame seeds, avocado and egg whites are good food choices to increase sperm count.

Brazil Nuts, Sunflower Seeds, Fish(salmon, sardines and tuna), Oyster, Lamb(mutton),chicken, eggs, wheat germ, barley, brown rice, oats and onion are good sources of selenium. (6)Stay cool and avoid excessive heat because increased scrotal temperature reduce sperm production and adversely affect sperm health. Avoid hot tubs and steam baths. (8)Avoid alcohol because it affects your liver function, which, in turn disturb hormonal levels. Even two drinks a day will have long term effects on sperm production. So strictly avoid alcohol intake.
(9)Avoid Smoking because it not only damage blood vessels but also restrict the oxygen supply to blood. When testicular blood vessels don`t receive sufficient amount of oxygen they produce poor quality sperms.
(10)Avoid masturbation because masturbation not only reduce sperm count but also cause thinning of semen.
